Merdeka!!!
Its the word that we often use to yell for Indonesia Independence Day , Merdeka ! Freedom!
Yesterday, 17 august 2015, we celebrate the Indonesia Independence Day. And this year i celebrated it at Carnaval Beach , Ancol, Jakarta.
The people celebrate it by having a match to climb Pinang Pole. The pole is around 15 meter high, cover with grease and on the top of it there is a flag and many prize to win.
The contestant is 5 person in one group and they have 3 minutes to climb and win the prize.
Its quite entertaining to watch where people in the group have to unite and support each other in order to reach the top. I guess its the phylosophy of the game. "To win we have to unite and support each other".
Perhaps this phylosophy can be practise to all indonesia people in order to make this beautiful country better.
Yes we can, we will unite, and we will win.
